This sweet couple was so excited to get married that they planned their special day in about a month’s time! We are so honored that they trusted us to fulfill their autumn waterfront wedding vision at Martell’s Water’s Edge in Bayville, New Jersey. Stress-free planning was one of their most important deciding factors when booking Garden in the Pines, and we were so happy to oblige.
We handled everything from planning, to design, to set up and installation, ceremony to reception decor turn-over, and clean-up. Check out their photos below of the autumn-inspired beauty that we were able to create.
Martell’s Water’s Edge provided a perfect wedding venue for this medium-sized wedding. there was a beautiful water-front ceremony location with an on-site pergola- perfect for floral decor to enhance your ceremony photos.
The venue also had a designated cocktail area separate from the reception space indoors. and, a nice-sized reception space for twelve round tables and good-sized dance space for guests to enjoy the evening.
The ceremony structure at Martell’s Water’s Edge was massive! We designed 5 separate pieces to place this cohesive-looking installation together on-site. Of course, we also repurposed these flower clusters throughout the reception for extra impact at the sweetheart table, and a few other locations throughout the wedding.
We repurposed the ceremony florals for Kelly & AJ’s sweetheart table.
We wanted the welcome table arrangement to create a statement when guests walked into cocktail hour. So, we used the largest and most intricate driftwood structure that we found to create a growing garland-style statement on the structure. It turned out so cool!
The couple also incorporated sea-glass escort cards for each guest to double as a favor- how elegant and sweet!?
The centerpieces are so so so special to us. This sweet couple asked us to incorporate driftwood into their centerpieces. And you know we love any opportunity to get a little creative!
So, Larry & I went down to the Bay on the Jersey Shore (a place so sentimental to the couple), and picked up any decent looking driftwood pieces that we could find. After cleaning them at home to ensure they were all free and clear of any critters and sand, we constructed various shapes to create dimensional structures. Then, we figured out our mechanics to create something beautiful with them.
Each centerpiece is a little different. But, they all look related!
Each table is also decorated with twinkling votive candles- these really help add some warmth to the space (the feeling- not so much temperature- HA)!
On the other tables, we incorporated candles and deconstructed eucalyptus wreaths to create a romantic table setting. By breaking up the tables and incorporating some different styles into the reception space, we are able to create a space that adds a lot of warmth and impact so it’s not the same thing on every table.
We also provided some additional blooms to the baker to decorate the cake with coordinating flowers. It turned out beautifully!
One of the flower clusters from the arch also dressed up the bottom of the table.
We dressed up the card and gift table with a cluster from the arch as well. And, added a couple of blooms to the card box for a little pizazz.
The Bridal party personals turned out so beautifully elegant. Each bouquet matched the girls’ dresses amazingly. And, the boutonnieres matched the guys’ ties almost perfectly. We are so thrilled with the way everything turned out and so grateful to have been trusted with this beautiful vision.
Thankfully the first frost of the year has held out long enough for us to incorporate some special Garden in the Pines homegrown dahlias and zinnias. They were the perfect touch to this beautiful bridal bouquet.
The Bridesmaid bouquets were smaller (and less expensive) versions of the bridal bouquet to complement her bouquet in photos.
The groom’s boutonniere is always special and unique from the groomsmen, officiant, and other family and bridal party members. We also like to provide an extra boutonniere for him as a complimentary service as backup in case one breaks from all of the hugs and love throughout the evening. It should look perfect in photos!
Wrist corsages are one of the ways that we can honor your mothers/grandmothers/special women not included in the bridal party. They can be designed on a plain white wristlet, fancier beaded wristlet, or gold cuffs.
It has been such a pleasure to make Kelly & AJ’s wedding floral dream a reality. Martell’s was a fantastic venue to work with and we definitely hope to flower for future events with this venue.
